Come on in: March

Last day of February and March is doing the lamb in lion's clothing thing. An ice and snow storm last week shut the midwest down and another storm coming in today. So far the temps have kept the rain from freezing, but if they should drop, life will be interesting.
Several OSWOA's later, I have not kept up with posting the images, or blogging. I have been playing with looser styles and some landscapes, for a change, on canvas and acrylic.

So far, this blogging effort is right up there with walking around and talking to myself. Usually no harm done.

Day 1

It is the day after Valentine's Day. I usually feel like I have passed some huge hurtle. Maybe just the idea that winter is almost over, maybe the clutter and bills from Christmas is almost done, maybe it is just because February is a short month.
The hardest months of the year have always been February and October. If you can survive those, you are good to go for the rest of the year.
I am desperately trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up. Is this finally my mid-life crisis? I thought I had done that a couple of times! In the meantime, while I search for meaning, I am going back to what I know and what I have always done, and that is drawing and painting horses. The new trend towards smaller works of art has intriqued me with the idea of being able to experiement and try ideas without the huge commitment of time an effort required for larger works - which never, by the way, can bring the amount equal to the time spent, when sold.
The above is my first attempt at an OSWOA - original small work of art - size is to be 4 x 6". Since this one, I have completed several more and will try to post them as they are created, so I can track the evolution of getting back into painting on a regular basis.
